Week 6 [14.05 - 20.05.2018] Elon Musk's underground tunnels

Hi, everybody!
Before presenting my article, I should say, that I am a big fan of Elon Musk`s activity. His inventions are ones of the most impressive nowadays, so information about them is widely spread beyond our technological area. In spite of his popularity, here is a link for those, who are not aware. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Elon-Musk
Here you can find his short biography and a little bit about his creations. As you can see, he is closely connected to such companies as PayPal(company operating a worldwide online payments system), SpaceX(aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company) and Tesla(specializes in electric vehicles, energy storage and solar panel manufacturing). Not far ago, he presented a new invention to the world - underground tunnel for cars. You can find a detail description here - http://money.cnn.com/2018/05/11/technology/elon-musk-boring-company-tunnel/index.html

So, the questions are:
1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
 4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
 5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
Thanks for your replies and good luck!

P. S. How do you think, is Mark Zuckerberg an Android or a human? =)

  1. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?

Speaking of products I would say Tesla, because this is the only car that I am looking forward to buy and use ever. Maybe it is not the best invention, but surely I would love to use autopilot since I am not huge fan of driving myself. At the same time the design, interior and the fact that I may support in any way someone that I am a huge san of is another advantage.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

Behind every company no matter how famous and rich are people. It is up to them what new products will be released. As we know those popular marques are present for years in the market and people working in them change very often. Unfortunately most of the competitors are still living in the world they created, and their’s products are not changing much since they were designed. Those brands are not innovative, they just take advantage of a huge recognisable brand.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

For years I believed that we could use some sort of smaller planes and this is the future of transportation. But I think there is too many stupid people in this world to make it possible. So probably autonomic cars and underground tunnel is a better idea.

     4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

Well we already use subways, trains and tunnels even under water (like between London and Paris) so it is safety.

     5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

I think it is, I hoped for underground tunnels and parkings instead of standard ones.

    1. Thank you very much for your opinion.
I partly agree with the second answer.
I also think that many companies are only interested in the benefits, and few want to invent something, simply afraid of failure and huge waste (Tesla is practically bankrupt)

  2. Thank you for an interesting article. Musk is a good visionary and usually works on projects that have enormous potential. I really like his ideas which task is to shorten the travel time. Such issues include tunnel or hyperloop. Certainly traveling in such tunnels will be associated with minimal risk - like everything - but I think that this method of travel will increase the safety of transport and will help to reduce traffic jams.  A lot of people outside cities and it has negative effects on our environment. As a result, electric cars can greatly improve this state, that's why I am a big fan of Tesla.

  3. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
Declaring PayPal is the one that influences me the most from Elon Musk inventions. I often used fast international transfers. Not once saved me from oppression.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
Because Elon Musk was innovative in this. He had an unconventional approach and the great freedom of the Jekro movement does not have large car corporations. Besides, it does not matter who comes from but what knowledge, idea and business contacts it has.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
I think autonomous cars are still a long way off. For now, not many of us are able to completely give up driving a car. This is too deeply rooted in our culture and yet the tunnel that is being discussed is based on the resignation from driving your own car. At the moment, such a tunnel does not change much, because in my opinion it is necessary to change the entire infrastructure. At this moment, such a tunnel would be just another form of public transport.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
I think that it is just as safe as traveling by metro or train.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
I think, however, that it still needs a lot of time to be really useful.

    1. Yes, exactly, very few people know that PayPal or x.com in the past was invented by him, or rather his team.
Perhaps this is really one of the most useful inventions that everyone uses today.

  4. 1) What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?

TESLA, yes 100% TESLA. I have the opportunity to see and ride tesla in Norway. A great car! I am shocked that he invented TESLA.

    2) Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

Why, but ... why Edison invented the bulb, Leonardo da Vinci plane, Ferdinand Verbiest car? There are always people who soberly look into the future and develop new inventions. So the question is ... why the person, who was born in South Africa could not invent an electric car? Because he has an open mind and can think of just such a car.

    3) Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

Did the planes help solve the problem of traffic jams? Did the tunnel under the channel La'Manche help get rid of people from the ferries? Have you think about how much such a tunnel can improve communication, but for sure "normal" traffic jams he will not unload.

    4) Is it safety, in your opinion?

    I don't know.

    5) Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

Yes, it certainly is and will be useful. Useful and for people and the environment. The question is if we as humans will be able to co-exist in such a world?

    P. S. How do you think, is Mark Zuckerberg an Android or a human? =)

My answer is android, of course ;-)

    1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
I am big fan of SpaceX, I try to watch every start of shuffle and when I enounter something on the internet about it I try to read it :D.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
But you know that electric cars were invented long time before Musk was born :D (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_electric_vehicle)? Even first electric car was in mass prodcution before Tesla company was established :D (General Motors EV1 from 1996-1999). Only thing that Elon did was marketing and some addtion to car range :D.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
No it would not. Instead of having traffic jam on the surface we will be having them under ground :D. When it comes to Musk super invention presented in this article I must say that we have something like this and it is called subway :D.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
    Yes.
    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

    1. In fact, Tesla is a project in which Elon Mask is investing, but it was invented by some unknown person who came with the project to the Mask and asked for help in its implementation. Therefore, there is a chance that many of his other projects - not his, but only he leads them as an investor

See the financial results of Tesla and the company's problems. and any financial results such as Mercedes. Musk has a lot of risk.
    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
Not all inventions are accepted. we'll see. I think it's a bit expensive.
    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

  7. Elton is not the inventor. He is the visionary. He searches for the latest discoveries of other researchers and combines everything together. And he does it all with great momentum.

For me, the most important thing is to connect the brain to the computer using artificial intelligence. He created a company called "Neuralink" which, in his opinion, will allow you to connect your brain with your computer in the near future. At the Dubai conference, he said: "Over time I think we will probably see a closer merger of biological intelligence and digital intelligence". He added that "it's mostly about the bandwidth, the speed of the connection between your brain and the digital version of yourself, particularly output". If this invention comes into being in the context he is talking about, it will be the most important invention of our millennium.

The answer is simple, the efficiency of an electric motor is 96%, unlike that of an internal combustion engine, which has a maximum efficiency of 40%, the rest of the energy being wasted in the form of heat. Other brands also created electric cars long before the tessla was created. The price and length of charging as well as the efficiency of the batteries have been and still are restrictions. In addition, the company continues to make losses. Companies produce cars in order to earn money and not lose it. The tesla cars are not of the same quality as those of other brands.

    Ad3.
If people only travel through tunnels and if the traffic is computer-controlled, there will be no traffic jams. Only that the number of underground tunnels will be very numerous.

I do not have enough information to evaluate safety objectively.

  8. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
I think SpaceX. Other are sort of inevitable - somebody would came up with this idea anyway - but for SpaceX it was necessary to have a visionary with piles of cash.
    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
It's not like Musk invented electric car... I still remember sir Clive Sinclair in his funny little electric car.
Musk hadn't any investments in current combustion engine cars, and is not educated engineer, so could think out of the box. CE car manufacturers outsell Teslas by orders of magnitudes, so I don't know if we can say they are loosing the competition. And LEAF by Nissan is also quite fine electric car.
    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
I assume this Loop project is something different than HyperLoop, that would insta-kill all passengers on the whole line should there be a slightest leak in the tunnel.
I don't think traffic jams problem will be ever solved: in the same way as gas particles immediately fill whole available space, number of commuters between most desired locations (city centers) and outside increases until reaches point of equilibrium when any new participants would make whole thing unbearable.
    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
If it's something different than HyperLoop, then probably yes, given they will manage to drill the tunnels in most urbanized locations - I for example wouldn't count on pipes and cables layout documentation being up to date.
    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
I think in worst case it'll be neutral.

  9. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?

I think the biggest impact on society will have hyperloop project. It will take probably few decades but in my opinion this way of transport may be cheaper and more efficient than aviation.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

One person can't do such project on his own. I think about Musk as a great manager who has made a fortune on PayPal and has possibility to test his ideas.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

Definitely yes. Especially if dozens of tunnel levels are prepared.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

Nowdays it can't be safe because it wasn't tested. After many series of test and creation of new procerures it could be safer than aviation.

  10. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?

I'm not sure that any of Elon Musk's invention have affecting for me in this moment. Meybe after few years when their idea will be more popular, but now he's invention for me doesn't change anything.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

It's because way of thinking in my opinion. That marques have so many restriction and all engineer know what is impossible to do...but someone could don't know about it and make it real. I'm thinking that all limit which we are known would be break. Meybe not now, but after decades we will create new limits.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

I don't think that this is a good way to say goodbay to traffic jams. It's easier to use actual infrastructure but reduce number of cars e.g. making much cheaper public transport.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

The tunnels are danger because they need good air circulation, fire fighting systems and others. For the tunnel accident we can't use helicopter if it is necessary.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

I have no opinion. We will see.

  11. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?

I don't think there is an invention at the moment that would affect me directly. However, if I were to point this out, it would be SpaceX, because space research affects everyone on earth.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

Large companies are mainly profit-oriented. They often do not care about development if what they do now satisfies their expectations. Such an innovative approach presented by Elon Musk is also connected with the risk which they do not want to take.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

All ideas that solve transport problems should be carefully considered. We will see in the future whether this has proved its worth and will be developed worldwide or whether it will prove too expensive and everyone will stay in traditional transport.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

It seems to me that this is a safe solution.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

I think that the project is useful for the whole society, allows for faster mobility, and is much safer at the same time.

  12. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
Right now I am affected by innovation, which makes rockets able to land. People can reuse them. That will significantly decrease space missions’ cost. I am responsponsible for a project that collects data from different ESA constellations. Right now sending a satellite to the orbit is quite “cheap”. If racket can be used multiple times it is a breakthrough discovery.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

I have not heard about a rule that a person from Europe has to be smarter than person from South Africa. He had a dreams … and luck too. I am impressed when I am reading an articles about smart people and their ideas / achievements.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

I do not think so … In my opinion we should focus on a different problem. How can we make public transport more efficient and common.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

Underground tunnel? I believe yes it is but - how deep they will build them? I am not sure do we feel comfortably for instance 600 m underground in such cabine?

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

We need simpler solutions like classic underground stations. RIght now in Warsaw range of our underground is quite poor.

  13. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
In my point of view all tesla autonomous cars are the most interesting. They are very futuristic in terms of technological solutions.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
I think that it is caused because of the company development policy. It depends on the money resources and sensitivity to innovative solutions. Most of today's leading car manufacturers have a lot of delays in implementing modern solutions.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
Not necessarily. As mentioned in the article - there are other bottlenecks of this solution. I’m sure it will help for sure but I’m afraid that it wouldn’t solve this problem.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
I do not see any significant threats. In addition, this solution is very similar to the currently used subway.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
Yes, In my opinion it is useful. Basically, moving a part of the traffic into the air or underground certainly has a future in heavily urbanized areas.

    1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
I think that paypal. It is maybe not so spectacular as Tesla or SpaceX but make life easier the most so far.
    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

I think that he had a good idea and just do it. He was thinking outside the box and created something new.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
Everything depends how it will be planned. I think that it may improve moving in big cities.
    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
I think it is. Nowadays we have a lot of tunnels in a world, in a cities, mountains etc so why this ones won't be safe.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
Yes it is useful for society. We are moving a lot in a cities and it ill help to move faster.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent the electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
It's more complicated than that. He has his own fortune and he was able to risk, with no global structures behind him or responsibility before investors, employees, etc (I mean: if it won't work he would lose his money, that's all).

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
    If not, what about subways.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
    As every new technology.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
It will, when our society will be ready for that (now I suppose isn't).

  16. Probably the Tesla cars have the greatest chances to affect me in more direct manner. Of course I would like to own one myself, but I'm happy even just because it gets more popular and in the future electric cars can help to reduce air pollution and noise in cities. I'm aware that big part of the pollutions is generated by other sources like heating homes with a coal but still, after visiting India I'm sure that taking old deisels producing black smoke from streets and replacing them with electric cars would make a big difference.

Is the tunnel intended to solve traffic jams? I though that it was for long distance travels. But as it was said earlier, subways already exist so we can tell if it helps in this matter. In Warsaw, if every passanger of subway decided to go by car it would probably paralyse the city.

Is the tunnel safe? There are many concerns. For me it's claustrophobic. I would rather experience a plane crash than an emergency in a narrow tunnel deep under the ground.

  17. Sebastian,
Many thanks for inspiring topic :-)
As the invention most affecting I consider this tunnels, actually. This is really something, which can influence transport system in the future.
Coming to second question, in my opinion this is not education, not hard work, not professionalism, which is the most crucial issue to do innovations and to be successful. We win in a real world only when we win in our mind. Limitations in our heads are the only reasons to limitations in life.
Underground tunnels can help to solve traffic problems, as all the new ways of transport and travelling. Anything we add to the communication system, is valuable in this respect. But I don’t believe it can bring solutions to all the problems and areas. The system is too sophisticated, the needs are too diversified.
As all the new technology achievements, on first usage stage it cannot be fully safe. But after precise tests, it believe it can be. Definitely I truly believe, we can use it practically in our society, ide depends on our openness to new technology achievements. Let’s remember, the openness is a condition to have success in the life :-)
    Regards,
    Marta

  18. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
I think electric cars. Undoubtedly this is the future. Current models are getting better. You can cover quite a lot without recharging. They have a positive impact on the natural environment.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
The electric car needs a large battery. At the beginning this was the biggest problem. Only Tesla presented the right solution. I watched material devoted to Tesla at National Geographic. The second issue is money. If electric cars were mass-produced, fuel companies would lose the most. Musk is a visionary and is not afraid to invest in new ideas. It works according to self beliefs.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
I think so. The vehicle in the tunnel will drive at speed of over 200 km/h and can accommodate a maximum of 16 people. The journey will be fast and cheap. According to Musk's assurances the cost of the trip will be only $1.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
I think so. This is a new project, so it will be tested before it will be made available to people. Until then any errors will be fixed. We currently have an underground subway and it's safe.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
I think it can be useful. Currently many cities are struggling with traffic jams.

I think that he was never focused on the limitations associated with the production of cars. Such companies are concentrated mainly on the efficient sales of he products. They are afraid to fail introducing new product. Tesla created new value.
    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
Traffic jams? I have always perceived them as an alternative to aircraft. In Poland, probably it could be a solution for traffic jams. However, I have heard that it is a solution for long-distance travels.
    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

  20. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
It's not about an invention for me. It's about the ability to affect reality in any possible way.
    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?
Because intelligence and consciousness has NOTHING to do with education system or any system. It's the ability to transcend others' opinions and experience the world of ideas by yourself. It's the ability to use intention to create a better, unpolluted world for everyone, not for a certain -so to speak- 'energetic lobby'
    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
Yes. It's actually a small step towards the unified world without 'traffics, queues'
    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
Safety ofc. As usual these are words. When you receive 'safety' you become unaware of the real world, which a 'safe person' may perceive as 'chaotic'. So you can program social behaviour by such inventions easily.
    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
Atomic bombs were considered useful by few people. It depends, if someone's playing the black and white bullshit game or looks few steps further.

The first known electric car was built in 1837, in Scotland by chemist Robert Davidson of Aberdeen. It is not about invention but how you will lead your product and project.

Why are you mentioning his heritage? Who cares, he has enough brilliant minds in the team to invent whatever money can buy. Maybe if we start focusing on expanding charging station network and improving battery life then other car manufacturers will start competing with Tesla.
    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
    You mean subway? :P
    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
It's probably safe, tests will show.
    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?
Like any project related to transport. If it succeeds then it will be useful in other cases it's just a wishful thinking.

  23. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?

Definitely electric cars. Of course as long as we are not discussing the problem of their price and the existence or rather non-existence of charging stations.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

    Because he's a real visionary.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

For some time maybe, but then it would generate other transportation problems. No solution is flawless.

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

    Maybe. Time will show.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

Of course, each and every project related to solving of transportation problems is useful.

  24. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?

The only Musk's product I have had contact is the Tesla model 3. The CEO of the company I work for used to own one (but now it's been crashed and subsequently sold off), and took employees for a ride during a company celebration. The car showed excellent dynamics and featured a nice screen. It wasn't self-driving, but this was projected to be retrofitted at a later date via a software update.

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

That's not what I've heard recently. There are many competitors on the low end, and a couple of upscale prototypes presented by the mainstream (Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, ...). The large automotive brands have experimented with electric cars for a long time, the problem were the batteries. The progress there was driven by the smartphone revolution.

    3. Would the underground tunnel help people solve the traffic jams problem?

Maybe. Introducing the third dimension into traffic organization is not a completely novel idea. Underground railway and different kinds of tunnels are an effective solution for many problems, but the demand for transportation seems to never be satisfied.

    4. Is it safe, in your opinion?

There was little about making it a vacuum train, so this seems much safer then the Hyperloop idea. Like any system it can experience catastrophic failure, and then it is compound with being underground, which makes search and rescue more difficult. While nothing is completely safe, this idea seems to be reasonable when it comes to safety.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

It is probably too expensive, but such reasons haven't stopped us from a few other investments. Apart from the initial investment, operating costs must be accounted for. For example, the railway's sleeping car + car carrier combo looks excellent on paper (who wouldn't want to take one, when going from Southern Poland to the Seaside), but it wasn't economically and technicly feasible in practice.

  25. 1. What Elon Musk’s invention is the most affecting for you own?
To be honest? None of them. If I must answer on that question I would say “Tesla”. Why? Because it is only invention that is visible for me

    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

The answer is very easy. Because he is finding proper people. A lot of inventions are not made by him, he has the vision, he has the idea for the final product and he know how to find great people that are able to materialize his invetions.

    2. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?
Of course not. The only thing that would be changed is the fact that the traffic jams would be also in the tunnels

    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?
Underground tunnel filled with cars. It is a recipe for catastrophe.

    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

Yes, if we will move cars underground we could make our cities much nicer and much more comfortable for people.

I think they are Falcons rockets, because they can save a lot of money – they can land after the spaceflight without destroying it’s parts.
    2. Why the person, who was born in South Africa and never did the car engineering before, could invent an electric car, but other global automobile marques, like Mercedes, who have been doing it for a dozens of years, couldn’t present a worthy competitor still?

In fact Elon Musk wasn’t the inventor of the electric car. First electric motor was invented in XVII century, also there is many electric cars on the market right now.
    3. Would the underground tunnel help people to solve the traffic jams problem?

In my opinion it can’t be no doubts about it. The traffic jams problem is the big one and we must fight it in every possible way. I am sure that underground tunnel can be one of the solutions. Mainly they will create a new ways to get to different point of the cities and so they will decrease the amount of the cars present on the streets.
    4. Is it safety, in your opinion?

It depends how they will be build and what materials will be used, but nowadays we have a lot of underground tunnels used for the metro or even cars and we don’t hear a lot about accidents related to the fact that such places are situated under the ground, so I think it will be as safety as driving on the regular streets.
    5. Is this project considered to be useful in our society?

Like I said before, I think that is very important to find solutions focusing on fighting the traffic jams, so underground tunnels (being a way to increase the traffics) are very useful idea for the every day’s life of the society.
