[Week 7] Usage of augmented reality in different areas

I would like to present article about different usages of augmented reality in industry and entertainment:

http://www.zdnet.com/article/ten-industries-using-augmented-reality-and-virtual-reality/

At the moment not every area is ready for area and not every idea is enough to properly use AR in the area. With one thing we can't argue. AR is very flexible and with new devices we have more and more possibilities to use it.

1. Where do you see AR mostly ?
2. Would you like to use smarglasses filled with AR technology ?
3. Where AR has the biggest Chance for evolution in your opinion ?

Week 7 [13-19.06.2016] What do you think of Bash on Windows?

Recently, I was able to experience how amazing is to have Bash is up and running under Windows OS. Especially, considering all the kernel/user space differences in addition to how file system operates differently.

See https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/wsl/2016/04/22/windows-subsystem-for-linux-overview/

Some interesting pieces;

"WSL is a collection of components that enables native Linux ELF64 binaries to run on Windows. It contains both user mode and kernel mode components."

"WSL executes unmodified Linux ELF64 binaries by virtualizing a Linux kernel interface on top of the Windows NT kernel."

Although the main question looks like something more product specific, actually Bash on Windows is a very recent and decent sample on virtualization.

1) What do you know about Virtualization?
2) Considering all the cloud etc. developments, can we expect more unified platforms ?
3) Unified ? What does this actually mean for the end user ? US ?

Week 7 [13-19.06.2016]

I want to present interesting subject about disease from Asia called hikikomori. In general hikikomori is a syndrome typical for people who are able only to communicate via Internet with the others. Youths who seclude themselves in their own home have no friends in real life.

Some of them are sitting in their room every day, the food is prepared by their mother and left behind the doors, so they don't even need to go out and talk with family.

Person with this disease refuses to go out to work or school. That syndrome needs to be taken seriously because there is correlation between hikikomori, Internet addiction and suicide risk.

The questions arises as to should be aware of that hikikomori can occur in Poland? Or maybe we already can observe some of the symptoms among young adults?
Is Internet addiction dangerous in European countries or maybe it is typical only for Asia?

Week 6 [30.05-05.06 ] Super Siri

Hi,

Creators of Siri recently presented their new product called Viv. http://www.theverge.com/2016/5/9/11639992/viv-digital-assistant-ai-artificial-intelligence-siri
http://www.idownloadblog.com/2016/04/07/dag-kittlaus-demo-new-ai-product/

1. Do you think that this kind of human-computer interaction is a holy grail of IT?
2. What do you think about other personal assistants (Siri, Google Now, Cortana)?
3. Do you think that a perfect intelligent personal assistant should be more personalized?

Week 6 [30.05-05.06 ] Quantum Computer Comes Closer to Cracking RSA Encryption

Hi All,
I would like to introduce an article  about Quantum Computer and RSA Encryption
Below you can read article about quantum computer closer to cracking RSA Encryption.

Link to article:http://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-talk/computing/hardware/encryptionbusting-quantum-computer-practices-factoring-in-scalable-fiveatom-experiment

Questions:

1. What do you think about it?
2. Do you think that  Quantum Computer can be cracking all Encryption algorithms?
3. Do you think that we have some issue when Quantum Computer cracking RSA Encryption ?

PS. Sorry for late post ( I changed work in Monday and I don't have a time for write post)
