Week 7 [21.01.2019 - 27.01.2019] Is online money exchange safe?

Hi everybody,

Today I would like us to play a bit with some IT investigation regarding currency exchange.
I found online exchange platform, which seems to be very attractive:
It is recommended to be technologically advanced modern and safe platform allowing exchange through the Internet, and as you can see, helps to do exchange faster and cheaper, and seems to be simple ideal.
I started thinking about that and I have one general doubt – security. It is presented as safe “like in electronic banking: encrypted SSL connection and SMS Codes”. The details on respect of security below in this link:

My questions are:
  1. Do you share my doubts regarding safety, or you believe the system is 100% safe (or almost 100%)?
  2. If it is unsafe in your opinion, please give the reason of your doubts.
  3. Is it possible to achieve 100% safe online exchange system?
  4. Do you assume and consider as possible, that in very fast future we’ll give up traditional exchange methods?
  5. Maybe you can see any other danger(s) of such system?
Best regards,
Marta

Today I would like to introduce You to the article titled:

Adaptation of the humanoid robot to speech disfluency therapy

Abstract:

full text:

This is an article written by me, describing an application useful for the people with the speech disfluency. Mentioned application implemets the Echo method to the humanoid robot named Nao. In the article you will find the description of such method, and what's more - the description of robot's application and movement's visualization. Farther progress of described application predicts the creation of some form of chatbot, to allow the automatisation of the therapy, almost entirely without the participation of third party, such as the therapist.

Please, anwser questions below:
1) Do you know anybody with the speech disfluency? If so, do you know what therapeutic method is using to heal this person?
2) Have you heard about the Echo method, which was further described in the mentioned article, and if so - where did you hear about it?
3) What do you think - will the person with speech disfluency feel more comfortable with the humanoid robot as a therapist?
4) Do you know any other application of humanoid robots, especially the once based on an interaction between such robot and people?
5) In your opinion - are the research on humanoid robots important and useful, and if so - on what field should they be continued?
6) Do you think it is possible that in the future interactions with robots may be the replacement for interactions among actual people?

WEEK 6 [7.01 - 13.01.2019] Sentiment Analysis – emotion AI

Hello everyone.
This week I would like to put under our discussion the Sentiment Analysis.

People around the world are more actively using social media platform such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram etc. They share information, opinions, ideas, experiences and other details in the social media. The analysis of brand specific opinions can inform companies on the level of satisfaction within consumers.
The sentiment analysis can be used to estimate the emotions of the users objectively.
At its core, sentiment analysis, also called opinion mining or emotion AI.

Here's the link to the articles:

My questions:
  1.   Do you think is possible for an algorithm to analyzed meaning of the text as accurately as human?
  2.  What are the applications of sentiment analysis?
  3.   Why and How Companies Should Use Sentiment Analysis?

WEEK 6 [7.01 - 13.01.2019] Influencers' Marketing

Hello everyone!
I would like to share with you an interesting artictle I came across while doing some reading and research on the Internet. It pertains to influencers and influencers' marketing, the phenomenon of which I find very interesting. I really hope you will enjoy it and share your thoughts and opinions in a fruitful and constructive discussion. Here's the link to the article:

My questions:

1. What characteristics, as per article, should a successful influencer have?
2. The author of the article stated that: "Before the rise of social media influencers, advertising to brand consumers was one-sided. Before the days of social media, a consumer could only see a product through print advertisements, billboards, radio ads, and television commercials. Today, a consumer now can interact with a product through social media. Watching a trusted source, such as
Fink, use a product allows consumers to feel as if they are making a more informed decision when making a purchase. Do you agree with this statement? Would you be more willing to purchase an item promoted by a blogger, vlogger, celebrity etc.?
3. Do you think that influencers' marketing is the future of sales and marketing? Will other ways of promotion go out of date?
4. Do you follow any influencers in social media? If so, can you share with us, who those people are and why you find them interesting and worth mentioning? What is so special about them that so many people are interested in their opinions, lifestyle?
